What is Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO)?

GEO is the practice of structuring your website and digital presence so AI answer engines, like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews, can read, trust, cite and recommend your business. Where SEO competes for a spot in a list of links, GEO competes for a place among the two to seven sources an AI names in a single answer.

How is GEO different from SEO?

SEO gets you into the list of blue links; GEO gets you into the AI's answer.
